But aluminum era draws to a close, with the completion and delivery of the first large commercial aircraft built in the 50% composite materials such as plastics and carbon fiber. Boeing Dreamliner 787, is a project that had ended three years ago which a cost of $ 32 billion, is finally ready for takeoff.

The new plane has a range of 10,000 miles (about 16,000 km), a cruise speed of 920 km/h (0.85 Mach), is quieter than its rivals and its construction process is an innovative, special welds are used they removed from the equation 1,500 aluminum sheets and 50,000 screws. Thus, the 787 Dreamliner will be 20% more economical than other aircraft in its class.

The plane, with a capacity of 250 seats, is expected to be one studded luxury and cutting-edge technology. Even in economy class passengers will have access to Android devices, equipped with 17”touchscreen, integrated into the backrest of each chair.
